This was one of my first cookbooks, which still remains a firm favourite because the recipes are pretty simple and don’t take long to prepare.
What to expect:
Down to earth comfort food that doesn’t pretend to be anything it isn’t. Hearty grub with no fanciness. Oh, and swearing, lots of swearing.
Be warned:
The book is American and uses different terminology that what you may be used to e.g. cilantro = coriander.

This book is full of exciting and fun recipes, the kind that you can’t wait to try, that’ll make you look like a Michelin Star chef to your guests.
What to expect:
Colourful, unique and playful dishes that are quick to make and taste as good as they look.
Be warned:
Some recipes can seem a little more complicated than they are, when in fact, they’re super easy! You’ve got this!

15 Minute Vegan
This cookbook is exactly what it says, recipes that can be made in 15 minutes. Don’t let the speed fool you, there is no compromise on quality or taste and all of the ingredients are simple and easy to prepare.
What to expect:
Super quick recipes from firm favourites to exciting new experiments that can be made when time is at a premium.
Be warned:
Some of the recipes may need a little preparation in advance but it’s nothing too time consuming.

Crossroads
Tal Ronnen, the top celebrity vegan chef, presents recipes from his infamous Crossroads Kitchen, Hollywood. This book is full of complex and flavourful Mediterranean inspired dishes that will blow your mind.
What to expect:
Challenging recipes that are worth the effort, which will vastly improve your culinary skills.
Be warned:
Some of the ingredients can’t be sourced in the UK at time of writing this, such as Kite Hill Ricotta Vegan Cheese, so you’ll have to find alternatives.

Salad Samurai
Whoever said salad is boring clearly hasn’t read this book! Packed with weird and wonderful recipes that will change the way you think of salad forever.
What to expect:
Prepare to experiment with crazy concoctions that will tingle your tastebuds and make salads interesting again! Oh, and they look stunning too!
Be warned:
There are a lot of ingredients in some of the recipes, so plan in advance.

Bosh
The boys at Bosh have gone viral, and rightfully so. Taking social media by storm with minute long videos of fast and impressive recipes that any aspiring vegan chef can turn their hand to.
With modern technology propelling us into the future of cooking, you’ve probably noticed that videos are becoming increasingly popular.
With that in mind I thought it would be unfair to totally exclude Bosh. I frequently use some of their videos and as they move into the mainstream, I’m pleased to announce that they are also releasing books in 2018, so keep your eyes peeled!
